The St. Louis, Missouri native returned to York after going 6-4 with a 4.43 ERA in 2009 as he made 11 starts and 27 relief appearances. He also served as team closer in the middle of the season, notching eight saves. A former fourth-round draft pick of the Angels, Zimmermann has reached Double-A with the Angels, Yankees, and Cardinals organizations. He owns 54 career saves, including a career-best 24 with Cedar Rapids during the 2004 season. Zimmermann appeared in spring training with the Toronto Blue Jays this March, following his impressive showing with the Revs in 2009.
